Responsibilities

Responsibilities of Editor
The Editor is tasked with overseeing the journal’s academic and operational framework, ensuring adherence to its scope, purpose, and ethical standards. The Editor defines peer review and editorial policies, while striving to publish articles that significantly contribute to scientific literature. Additionally, the Editor ensures international and academic diversity among contributors and board members, fostering inclusivity and excellence.

The Editor manages the entire peer review process, from initial manuscript evaluation to final decisions. This includes assessing submissions for relevance, quality, and compliance with ethical and formatting standards before forwarding them for review. During the review process, the Editor provides authors with constructive feedback, ensuring revisions meet the journal’s expectations. The Editor also resolves disputes and serves as the final authority on manuscript decisions.

The Editor collaborates with the Editorial Board to identify emerging topics, encourage high-quality submissions, and enhance the journal’s visibility and impact.

Responsibilities of Associate Editor(s)
Associate Editors play a critical role in the peer review process. Once manuscripts pass the initial evaluation by the Editor, Associate Editors are responsible for assigning reviewers and ensuring a rigorous double-blind review process. They oversee the implementation of requested revisions and provide detailed feedback to authors as needed.

Associate Editors also evaluate submissions for subject relevance, content quality, and adherence to ethical guidelines. They may suggest corrections or request rewrites before manuscripts are sent for review. Moreover, they assist the Editor in selecting members of the Editorial Board, ensuring the inclusion of diverse and qualified scholars.

Responsibilities of Language Editor(s)
Language Editors ensure that all manuscripts meet high linguistic and academic writing standards. They review articles for clarity, grammar, and adherence to scholarly conventions. If further clarification is needed, Language Editors provide feedback through the Associate Editor, who then communicates with the author.

Responsibilities of Biostatistical Editor
The Biostatistical Editor evaluates the statistical components of submitted manuscripts. This includes checking the accuracy and validity of data, methodologies, and analyses. If discrepancies or improvements are identified, the Biostatistical Editor advises the Associate Editor, who relays the feedback to the author for revision.

Responsibilities of Copy Editor
Copy Editors focus on ensuring that manuscripts are free of typographical, grammatical, and formatting errors. They review articles for compliance with the journal’s style and structure guidelines. Feedback from the Copy Editor is communicated through the Associate Editor to the author, ensuring all necessary corrections are implemented.

Responsibilities of Editorial Board
The Editorial Board provides strategic and academic guidance for the journal. Members, who are experts in their respective fields, offer constructive feedback on the journal’s content, policies, and quality standards. They assist in determining the journal’s thematic focus and suggest external reviewers to ensure diversity and impartiality in the peer review process.

Board members may evaluate manuscripts or recommend qualified external reviewers. External reviewers are selected based on their expertise, independence, and commitment to upholding ethical standards in manuscript evaluation.
