Conflict of Interest

The International Journal of Sexual Science is committed to maintaining transparency and ethical integrity in its publication process by addressing conflicts of interest effectively. Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could potentially influence their work, including employment, funding, consultancies, copyrights, or patents. These disclosures are required at the time of submission, and authors must complete the disclosure of interest form available at https://www.icmje.org/disclosure-of-interest/.

Manuscripts submitted to the journal must be original and exclusive, not under consideration by any other publication. Authors are expected to ensure their submissions adhere to this policy. The journal strictly opposes practices such as guest authorship (attributing authorship to individuals who have not contributed) and ghost/gift authorship (omitting individuals who have made significant contributions). Authors are required to clearly state their contributions and roles in the manuscript to ensure accountability and transparency.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all data, figures, and materials used in their manuscripts comply with copyright laws. Any infringement of copyrights or intellectual property rights is solely the responsibility of the author(s). Authors are also expected to avoid citation manipulation, including excessive self-citations or any behavior intended to artificially influence metrics.

The journal does not tolerate undisclosed conflicts of interest. If such issues are discovered post-publication, the editorial board reserves the right to take corrective actions, including issuing corrections or retracting the article. In handling conflicts of interest and related disputes, the journal adheres to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure fairness and transparency.
